Nicole Arlyn was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on Long Island. Her very first acting role was at the age of six months as the crying baby in the cult film, Pot Luck directed by Philip Marshak. She studied at Universite Sorbonne in Paris where she was the lead actress in the short experimental film, Femme de Versaille which was shot in the garden of the Palace of Versailles and directed by Andre Duclos. Returning to New York from Paris, she studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. After the Playhouse, she worked in numerous off Broadway productions and made several indie films including Blixa Bargeld Stole My Cowboy Boots with Michael Imperioli and Flushed directed by Carrie Ansell, which screened at Slamdance Film Festival. Nicole then moved to Los Angeles where she continued to study the craft of acting with Susan Peretz at the Third Street Theatre. She was soon cast in Clay Pigeons directed by David Dobkin playing opposite Joaquin Phoenix, and also starring Vince Vaughn, Janeane Garofalo, and Georgina Cates. Some other film roles include Frogs For Snakes directed by Amos Poe playing opposite Barbara Hershey, The Wedding Planner directed by Adam Shankman with Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey, Chinese Whispers directed by celebrated British actress Sophie Ward, Lunch Break with renowned Greek director Panos Koronis starring opposite Alex Sol, Greasewood Flat with award winning director Susan Brigham and Golden Globe nominee Irene Bedard, and Brooklyn Bound directed by Rich Devaney with Tommy Guiffre, David Zayas, and Dean Winters, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to sold out audiences.
